A choice of a good dessert cream cheese is something that needs to be carefully taken into consideration. Most of the cream cheeses you can find are already salted. Some of them less, so you can barely taste it, while others are more salty – which makes them usable only in savory dishes.
Furthermore, some cream cheeses have such a small percentage of fat that they cannot give an adequate structure to most of desserts, however they are perfect for fruit drinks. Others, on the other hand, can have too much fat and be too creamy. They are suitable for tiramisu and ice cream – but not for lighter desserts.
That is why the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cottage cheese is what you need for an exquisite cheesecake or for sweet dumplings like these ones. Our cheese has an ideally creamy texture, it is scarcely salted so it can be part of both a sweet and savory menu – and it has just the right amount of fat so it easily becomes the ingredient for most of the recipes with cheese. Try it and let us know if we were right!

Ingredients

  • 4 spoons of chopped walnuts

  • 500 g of the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cottage cheese

  • 4 spoons of powdered sugar

  • 2 spoons of lemon juice

  • 1 packet of gelatin powder

  • 2 spoons of grated lemon zest

  • 2 spoons of cherry liqueu

  • 400 g of raspberries

Preparation

  1. Mix by hand the Moja Kravica Kuhinjica cottage cheese, sugar and lemon juice. Add to the mixture the gelatin prepared according to the instructions written on the packaging. Put the walnuts in and blend everything together. Leave in the fridge for about an hour.

  2. Use a spoon to take equal amounts of the mixture and shape them into dumplings. Serve them with raspberries which you previously covered with cherry liqueur.

  3. ADVICE: If you prefer to serve dumplings with a sauce, you can use a blender to blend raspberries, drain the blend and then cook it. In order to make the fruit sauce thicker and quicker to cook, dissolve little bit of cornstarch in a few spoons of water, add it to the fruit sauce and cook until it thickens.
